James Gent, son of Jonathan Gent (b 1843) was born in July 1867 in Whittle le Woods and was a mechanic in his own engineering foundry.  He married Priscilla Cockshutt on 7 July 1892 at All Saints Church, Clayton le Moors and had 2 sons.

Francis Garstang Gent was born 12 February 1893 in Accrington and baptised at All Saints Church, Clayton le Moors on 12 Apr 1893.  He married Edith Holmes in 1925 at the Railway Street Methodist Church.

David Allison Gent was born 20 September 1894 in Accrington and was also baptised at All Saints Church, Clayton le Moors on 31 Oct 1894.
