David Allison Gent born 20 September 1894 in Accrington, Lancashire.

David was an engineering apprentice in his father’s foundry. He was a Private in the 1st/4th battalion of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment (service no 1468) and was assumed dead, aged 20 on or since 15 June 1915 at Festubert, France during the First World War.
The second battle of Artois (ie the battle of Festubert) ended 27 May 1915 and the second action at Givenchy was fought on 15 and 16 June 1915.
He is remembered at the Le Touret Memorial, ref panel 27 and 28
